R. K. ENGINEERING PVT.LTD. (formerly known as R. K. TRADING CO.) was formed in year 1962 by Shri KIRTANLAL M DHARIA with a vision to serve a varied number of Industries and Semi Government Bodies/Authorites.
Shri Kirtanlal Dharia, migrated from a small Village of Balasinor, Gujarat to Mumbai and initially did odd Jobs at Lohar Chawl for his livelihood. Coming from the background of Non-Electrical Family, he took time to learn the nuances of the trade and went on to work with CCI Cables, one of the Big Brand in those time ( 1970/71). With Self Discipline, Determination and habit of taking risk, made him the very popular in the Business.
Being very passionate about his work, sincere towards his customers requirements, gave him immediate success and was one of the top Distributor of Cables in “Lohar Chawl”, as many call it as “Mecca of Electrical Trade” . He was pioneer in introducing the format ( in the year 1974) of Price List for Cables with an unique feature, which is still used by all Cable Manufacturing Companies and its Distributors all over India.
With Stiff competition taking shape in the field, he tried to diversify into other Electrical Products and started travelling to interior parts of Maharashtra and Gujarat. He entered into Railways with approvals of HRC Fuses under the brand name “YECO”. He entered in Educational Institutions like ITI and many Semi Government Bodies for supply of other Electrical Components as well as Tools. He single handledly drove his business to support a family of Six and at the same time he was also inclined towards doing Social Work near his residential place in Andheri.
Mr.Kalpesh Dharia, Elder Son joined the Business in the year 1982, and started sharing the responsibility. Few years later, in 1989 his Second Son Mr.Sandeep Dharia (B.com,D.M.S) joined the business and they again initiated travelling to different parts of India to bring in volume of more Business and varied Clients. In 1992, his third Son, Mr.Niren Dharia (B.E) joined. All three Brothers sincerely and with great determination worked towards the goal of achieving major share of Business in Lohar Chawl. They started another two Firms namely SAN ASSOCIATES and EARTH ENTERPRISES. The Basic Purpose of having three firms was to share the responsibilities, learn the tricks of Business and achieve vertical growth.
After untimely death of Shri Kirtanlal Dharia in the year 1993, the Company had a couple of lukewarm years but after 1996 and till date, the Journey has been remarkable. In the year 2005, R.K. trading Co was reconstituted and R.K.Engineering P.Ltd was born. Year after Year, the Brothers kept adding Big Electrical Manufacturers in their profile for marketing their products. ABB, Elmeasure, Essen, Elmex, Socomec, Teknic, SCI and Gelco and many more entrusted their basket of products to R.K.Engineering P.Ltd as their Authorised Channel Partner. Having tied up with this Companies helped them to make in roads to many Reputed Companies & industries. They welcomed with open arms and gave opportunity to serve them, to name few Times of India, JSW Group, L & T, Cipla, Siemens, Uttam, Blue Star, Tata Trent, TCS, ONGC, BARC, Relliance Infrastructure, Western and Central Railway, leading Panel Builders, OEMs, Cement Industries.
The Company which started in the year 1962 with a revenue of few thousands, today have reached 250 Millions Rupees, and its about to reach bigger milestones in near Future.
With a couple of Branch offices in Lohar Chawl, Marine Lines, a Corporate Office in Mittal Industrial Estate, Andheri East, and a Big Warehouse at Waliv, Vasai East, gives an edge over Competitor in terms of Logistical Support.
R.K.Engineering P.Ltd, has become a household name among all the Panel Builders across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Vasai and parts of Maharashtra and Goa. The Company Exports to around 8 countries and many more to be explored. This image has been created with the sheer Hardwork of all Directors, their Relations with all their Principles, and their very supportive as well as sincere Extended Family (Staff).
R.K.Engineering P.Ltd has developed such an Aura that all Leading Manufacturers want to tie up with them for marketing their products.
